National Geographic Traveler Magazine has named it one of the top 10 train journeys in Europe and Lonely Planet named it best train journey in the world in 2014. It definitely is something special, but if it really is the most beautiful train journey in the world is up to you to decide. The Flamsbana only has a single track and therefore there are only a limited amount of trains that can go up during the day. Sometimes this creates a problem in capacity.
