Russian submarine – Kapal Selam

This Russian submarine is one of the eye catchers of the city. This submarine was build in 1952 in Vladivostok and it was bought by Indonesia in 1962, decommissioned in 1990. It now stands tall next to the river and if you want you can actually peek inside. All the rooms are open for the public and you’re free to get an inside look into the periscope and torpedo tubes.
