This series of interconnected islands in front of the city of Helsinki is a historical landmark. It served as a fortress for 3 countries: Sweden, Russia and Finland. With its five miles of wall, hundreds of cannons it became the 2nd mightiest fort of its kind in Europe after Gibraltar.
