Torshavn cruise port

Tórshavn has, despite of being a small village, a large port available where cruise ships can dock. However, this is an industrial port and you walking in the port is prohibited. Therefore the port provides a free shuttle bus that will take you to the exit of the port where the cruise terminal and also the start of the Thorhavn historical center.

Once you have take the mandatory shuttle bus from the cruise pier to the cruise terminal you will find a tourist information point inside the terminal. Ask any of the representatives anything you like regarding your this port of call from walks, business to shore excursions. Tórshavn public transportation

The Faroe Islands have a very good organised bus system making it possible to catch the public transportation to places a little bit further afield. A nice fact to know as well is that several islands are connected by a system of underwater tunnels. There are even roundabouts in these system connected on island to the other.
