Aegir Brygger is Norway’s famous craft brewery. This local establisment brews 21 different types of beers which won prizes around the world. Ægir BrewPub is located right near Flam’s cruise dock. The building is completely in Viking style and resembles a Stave Church. Inside you will find a bar where you can sit down at the fireplace and taste what our local beer brewery has to offer. For just a little under 150 kr. you will get 5 samples of some amazing beers or simply come in for lunch! Find the brewery in across Flam’s cruise dock.

If you are docked at the Mega Pier (main pier in Curacao) you will have Rif Fort at your door step. Together with Fort Amsterdam on the other side of the bay it was build in the 1820’s to defend the city. Rif Fort has now been transformed into a pleasant recreation area where you will find high end shops, souvenir shops and lots of bars and restaurants.

The only distillery on the Isle of Skye is called Talker Distillery. It proved 10 year old Single Matl Scotch Wiskey. Visit the distillery and see the 5 copper pot stills at work or take look at the oak casks in the warehouse.

Your choices: ale or lager. These are the only 2 beers brewed on the Turk’s and Caicos islands. There is certainly some love and devotion put into these beers and it definitely is the perfect drink in this type of weather. Get this beer at any bar or restaurant on the island.
When in Porto…. You have to taste the Port wine. This fortified wine is made in the Duoro valley exclusively since the British found out to add liquor to the wine to make sure the wine wouldn’t be spoilt after the long journey from Portugal to Britain. Make sure to stop by one of the tasting locations.
Hardanger cider is a famous local product. Within walking distance of the pier (1 mile) you will find the first cider factory. Get acquainted with the way the cider is made and of course have a try while you are there. Pick up the cider map at the tourist information or join the guided walk to the factory.

The town’s old bakery has now been transformed into the Port Chilkoot Distillery. Visit it for a great tasting of fine spirits and whiskey. Especially their gin comes well recommended.

This micro-brewery makes very unique ales made with local ingredients like trees. Yes, trees. They use the Sitka Spruce for a delicious ale full of vitamine c. Find the distillery about 25 minute walk from the dock or take the local shuttle bus to it.
