The part of the city centre where the ship is located is connected by Public Buses 1, 3 and 5. It is mainly bus 3 that is known for its loop around the town. Pick it up for sightseeing. The closest bus stop to the ship will be when you exit the port at the shopping mall you will find it directly to the left hand side.
At the Aberdeen Bazaar you will find the local bus station. From here busses go all over the island. Keep in mind it is an option to travel by bus, but please know that buses do not run that frequent so be aware of the time.

This is the bus terminal of Santa Cruz. From here you can take buses all over the island. From port this is about 2,5 km walk or you can take the public bus from Plaza de Espana to Intercambiador (bus station). Double click here for the local bus planner.

Bus 12 is the bus to use to either get to the old town or to get to the bus station where you can catch the bus to go further afield. See on the map above where to catch bus 12.
You’ll find a bus station just outside of the port, but please know you do not need it in town. Pretty much the entire city centre of Cadiz is pedestrian zone and the busses only go around. You are missing out if you take the bus to travel the city centre.

Whenever you get tired of walking just look out for these white/blue signs on the street. Shuttle busses come by to bring you back to the ship. Tickets are $2 per person per trip, $5 for a day ticket.
