Cruise ships dock at the Grand Turk Cruise Center on the south side of the island. You’ll have all the facilities close to cruise dock. Read the full cruise port guide for more information about your docking locations and things to see and do.
The only town on the island is Cockburn. This where you can explore local life. There is a museum and some shop to explore. The town is only a 10 minute drive from the dock.

Your choices: ale or lager. These are the only 2 beers brewed on the Turk’s and Caicos islands. There is certainly some love and devotion put into these beers and it definitely is the perfect drink in this type of weather. Get this beer at any bar or restaurant on the island.
Unplug and unwind at Margaritaville in Grand Turk. Just off the dock you will find this centre where everybody comes to relax in one of the many the pools, have a seat at the swim up bar or enjoy one of the many activities
Grand Turk Cruise Center, TKCA 1ZZ
In this museum you will find natural history exhibitions with artefacts from all different settlers of the island, the Molasses Reef wreck from the 1500’s and the washed up message in a bottle collection.

You will find this monument at the cruise terminal in Grand Turk. It commemorates John’s Glenn’s Friendship 7 Mercury spacecraft that landed near the island in 1962.

Did you know the island is named after a species of cactus. The Turk’s Cap Cactus is the type you see on the picture above. You will recognise it by its top which resembles a Ottoman Fez. Find this cactus at the taxi stand parking lot.

All the way at the northern tip of the island you will find the Grand Turk Lighthouse. This 60 feet tall structure dates back from 1852. It is a peaceful piece of coastline. Find this historic and protected site here, a picnic area or go whale watching here in February and March.
